I couldn’t be more excited to be starting my blog, These Happy Rooms!  As an interior designer, my intention is that this blog will contain updates on cool design ideas, progress of my ongoing projects, style tips and more.  I am also an avid foodie, lover of all things cultural and proud aunt to two amazing little kiddos, so I am certain there will be some posts that go that direction as well.

The origin of the name of my blog dates back to a conversation I had with my mom when I was a very young child.  I told her that I wanted to buy her home and raise my children in it as well so that they too could know how happy these rooms are.  My mom still tells me that story all the time as one of the best moments of her life.  I think from a young age I had an inherent understanding that home is the most important place in the world- at least to me.  Home is the one little piece of the world that is all yours- where you can be 100% yourself and do what you want to do.

I truly believe everyone is capable of making changes in the world, however small, and that each of these changes can help to make the world a better place.  My contribution will be to help change the lives of my clients by improving their homes and making them a place that they not only can feel proud of when they entertain, but also a place of comfort, joy and peace in this busy, sometimes crazy, world.
